Prevent people spamming rep, it means someone who is still new (without a certain post count) has rep'd you.

 

so if they reach that post count the rep becomes active?

 

No i don't think so. It stay's inactive, so rep only counts after their past a certain place.

 

Thats not very clever, it doesn't effect the person giving the rep at all, just effects the receiver.

 

I've gotten green ones too...whoever it was that asked if I see a grey one or a green one, I see a green one. (And thanks for the rep!)

But all of the previous grey ones I had, remain grey.

Anyway, is there anyway around the grey rep? isn't there a way to turn it green once the giver reaches the post count in the admin/smod cp?

 

I don't think so, since you already got a rep from that gray box it still stays the same.

Also when you get rep by a person that has a gray box, you should notice that you don't get any points raised.

That means it's not activated.

It's kinda' unfair that I was giving people rep before the update to this kind, yet that seems to have disappeared after the update >.<

 

Hey I don't think the system is working. Right now I should have two boxes, however I still have one, I thought I go and point that out. It is 2 boxs if you 50 correct, right now I have 57.

Wait...so...what exactly IS a rep? And how do you get them? What is their purpose?

 

The above quote explains most of it.

Rep can show that you have good or bad posts.. so if you see green color that means the person has postive rep.. if you see it red then that means the person have negative rep..

You can get rep by ether posting good posts.. or doing something good for the site..

well it has no purpose really.. but it can show how well known you are on the forums..
