Sean was right by Jaya. He was somehow, fast enough to reach J-

Wait, what? The monk realized, seeing Sean next to him. They were both traveling pretty quickly, so it wasn't rocket science on what he had to do. Jaya simply put all his efforts into stopping as quickly as possible, while readying his arms to use what remaining energy he had gathered throughout their skirmish for Palms. With any luck, Sean would overshoot him, and buy the monk enough time to prepare a proper stance for launching his defenses.

just as Jaya predicted Sean flew by and was unable to stop easily.

"CRAPCRAPCRAPCRAP!!!" Sean shouted. going as fast as he had been was not easy and stopping was even harder, but he could still use him momentum he didn't have to stop just make a tight turn. Sean wasn't a plane so he wasn't limited to their type of turns he could fold his body differently and angle himself more, but charging at Jaya was still not a smart idea. So instead he flew down a few feet from Jaya, he got into a stance and continued to prepare his Nova attack, as a result his flames grew bigger. no doubt Jaya knew that something big was about to happen, but even he would not expect the power of Sean's Nova.

Since Sean had stopped as well, Jaya could only assume that whatever he was going to do required him to be relatively close. And because they were both standing in the middle of the field, Jaya couldn't really run anywhere that his opponent couldn't match in a moment. So, the monk did the only thing he could do at this point. Stall and hope for the best. Shuffling backwards quickly, he launched several extended Vel strikes aimed for the pyromancer's heart, throat, and forehead respectively before preparing the Palm technique as best he could. If Sean could still attack, the monk would be ready to launch the palm to block, whatever it was.

Sean was able to dodge most of Jaya's attacks but one managed to hit his leg. however, this mattered very little because the Nova was now ready. Sean thrust himself at Jaya, got close to him and let out his built up energy.

"NOVA!!!!!!!" he yelled. the white hot flames erupted from his body. Jaya was engulfed, no matter how strong he was he would take at least some damage. when the energy was completely spent, Sean fell to his knees. he was weak from that attack, and he couldn't even look at Jaya. but he knew the fight was over one way or another.

(Just for the judge's record, at the very least, the Palms would prevent some damage. Though a full frontal high form attack like Nova would break through the Palm, but not before some of it was already wasted.)

    Requiem:

Creativity: 7. I love the Abhayamudra style that you have brought up. Ok usage of the Resistance. However, when you said that you have used the final call for the Resistance, I reread your post over and over and not once I have seen you using the first call for the resistance. The fake limping is very clever.
Powerplaying: -4. Not showing any signs of him being tired from using at least one of his techniques. Plus, you have a 4 because with your last post, even though you said that the palm will not fully cut down the damage and that Jaya will take in some, I do not even know as to what had happened to him after Sean's attack and Jaya's Palm Defense collided with each other.
Realism: 8. You truly had him become more as though he is a monk. I truly commend you for this Moog. For him to act as though he is a peaceful figure or someone from an isolated temple planted this. I also love how you brought up the Abhayamudra style. That is what really help you gain more realism points.
Abiding by Rules: 9. Nothing much to say.
Usage of the Field: 5. Jumping into ditches is good and all but that is all that I have seen from him. Ok on the usage of the Resistance.
Breaking out of Character's template: - 0. I have seen nothing from him breaking out of his limits.
Judge's Favor: 6. I like him. I really do but every monk like him has a limit. No lie. A balance player; not a perfect monk.

    Awesome:

Creativity: 6. I like your terminator-fighting ideas. Actually make some sense when you are in a battle-ground.
Powerplaying: -2. You had him take damage, you had him fight against the terminators and you had him try to go on survivability mode. However, you were doing a little bit too much flying.
Realism: 7. You was doing good until it came to the flying part. Also need to be some more realism in the fire power. However, the taking in the pain from the attacks counterbalanced it to make it a 7 instead of a 5-6.
Judge's Favor: 8. Regardless of the weaknesses and the advantages of your character, I truly clapped my hands for this character. To still try to find a way to at least get a hit in and still try to fight to the last drop is gorgeous.
Abiding by Rules: 9. Same thing as Moog.
Usage of the Field: 5. Same thing as Moog.
Breaking out of Character's template: -0. I did not see anything of you breaking out of his limit.

Freya jumped into the arena and started to smile as she was behind Jaya. As Jaya took in Sean's last attack, she raised up her hand, filling it up with electricity. "You would do well to become an einherjar; I am disgusted at your pity attempts to be safe. Let us see if your imaginative Vishnu protect you from this." Freya slam Jaya on his back, knocking him out unconscious. He was then surrounded by a lime green light and was purified, weakening him by a little and purifying him to get ready for the next battle. "Sean is the winner of this round!!"

Freya then flew right by Sean and started to raise up her hands to use her magic over fertility to heal his wounds and to nourish him. "You would do well to perfect your skills warrior. You might not live through the next round if you are not careful." She then snapped her fingers, getting the next round ready but is still wondering about the other fight...

Freya jumped back onto the field as the crowd started to cheer for good recommendation for Sean. "This fight may make you strategic. Our next two opponents will be Sarah, a lowly human who tries to act like a goddess by trying to ascend herself and the other is Cinx, who makes power over gravity a cinch; what a cliche..." She raised up her hands as she made the arena change into a battlefield. Two, tall castles were towering over the land. One side is white while the other side is black. Sarah was standing on the black side while Cinx was standing on the white side. Many of the warriors were fighting on the field but it looked more chess-based. " You will need to have advanced thinking in order to survive this fight. Now onto the rules of this land.":

    Medieval's Hands

    Rules:

    1. Each player is on different sides. In this field, you will have the powers of the chess pieces in your hands. However, you can end up putting yourself in danger and may end up killing yourself if you do not protect yourself very carefully. You yourself are the king. Use your allies to destroy the enemies, keep yourself from getting killed, annihilate the palace and off the enemy's head.

    2. There are many allies who can help out on the battlefield. They are:

Pawns: Like they are, they are merely pawns. They only have a puny shield and sword. That does not mean that they are terrible. Can be easily dispatched. However, if you get them to reach the entrance of the opponent's castle, they can become powerful beings of any of the following choices below. You only have 8 of these.
Knights: The ones who you would be looking after for quick attacks. The knights can easily evade attacks, jump over anyone, and can hit real hard with their spears as they sit on top of their horses. You only have 2 of these
Bishops: The ones who you would count on for all of your powerful magics. They can attack anyone from afar with their magic. They are weak in their defense. Only two of them can help out in battle as they use their staves.
Rooks: The big man. They are your strongholders. Your guardians. They use powerful axes but they move slow.
Queen: Your lover... or maybe not the lover. She will back up with anything. Magic and command is in her tongue as she use her wand and long sword in battle. However, if she dies, the rest of them will follow.

    Treasure Chest Possible Rewards:
    1. Witch Trial: Doesn't matter. You are blamed. Bishops, pawns and queens will be hanged.
    2. Negated Force Sealstone: Makes the subject harder to be thrown or fly backwards by an attack.
    3. Spearhead Attack: Commands the castle to shoot out many arrows onto the battlefield. Anyone can get hit by them.
    4. "You going to burn!": It is witch season. A witch comes out and cast black magic on the one who opens the chest, setting them aflame. However, offer up a sacrifice or weaken yourself and she may help you.
    5. Rock Thrower: Catapult many large boulders at the enemy to take them out.

"Don't get lost in time; lest ye shall die." Freya snapped her fingers as the warriors all charged onto the battlefield and clashed swords...

Cinx walked onto the field. He had no reason to show off as Sean had done in the last match.

Interesting, So we fight each other while at the same time playing a large game of chess. and those chests....the probability of finding a bad treasure is very high, best to avoid those unless I have to. and i may want to be very sparing of my Gravity powers I can't afford to run out of steam before the match ends.

Strange, the places that newfound power can take a person, Sarah thought as she gazed over the wall that lined the top tier of the castle tower.

In truth though, it wasn't really all that strange, and in fact, completely expected, and certainly believable, unlike the sorts of things people tried to pass off in novels and TV shows. Compared to those sorts of fantasies, the one she found herself in seemed tame and reasonable. Two fortresses stood opposite one another, one, hers, being a glossy black, and another one, her foe's being a shining white color. Sandwiched between the two sanctuaries was the battlefield, where two forces, colored to identify with their own stronghold. The battle was little more than a light skirmish, but still, the apprehension of a major clash hung over the air like a poluting smog from the heart of a city.

As she drew in a breath, Sarah felt an excitement rush through her body and mind, and immediately after, settle down into a relaxed motivation. This was to be a site of a battle, and she would have to fight in that battle. Yet the questioned remained: where, and what was her place in that battle, and how could she do best to fill that place?

As if in answer to her question, a stern, middle-aged female voice spoke from her right side. "It's quite simple really, dear," the Black Queen stated wisely. "You see, we are battle against the White Army, on the otehr end of the field. Our goal is to crush that other castle, and defeat its keeper. Both sides have their own knights on horseback, strong bodied rooks to deal crippling blows, bishops to cast spells from afar, pawns aid the assualts, and of course, a queen and a king, to lead the attack. You are our acting king, if that suits you."

"Of course it suits me," Sarah said, though she'd have rather been queen with a king there at her side. She looked around the battlefield, upon which pawns and knights seemed to be knocking around in a half-hearted battle. A pair of what she assumed were the rooks seemed to stand guard at her castle's gate. A look around the rooftop upon which she stood revealed a pair of elderly men in ornate black robes; she could tell that these were the bishops, the spellcasters of her force. Immediately, an effective strategy worked through her head. "If our goal is to lay seige to the enemy castle, then we'll need strength and mobility to break through. The knights, pawns, and a rook will be all a need." She turned to the queen, and explained, "I want the bishops to hold out here, under your command. A rook will remain behind as well. You know what to do."

Turning her attention to the battle below, she hopped over the high ledge of the tower, falling a ways down, steadily providing herself an output of kinetic force to counter that of her fall. By the time she reached the ground, she had already arrived at a proper landing speed, allowing her to gracefully, and safely touch down and proceed to the battlefield. She would spearhead this battle personally.

No need to put my own life at risk when I still have pawns! Thought Cinx. I can't get careless and leave an opening for my opponent, once I'm dead then It's 'game over' I can have the pawns lead while the knights and one rook follow, the other rook, the bishops and my queen will act as bodyguards while assisting from a distance!

"Alright then!" Cinx said out loud. "Let this battle begin!" and with that he began his charge at the black castle.

What and idiot! Sarah reached the front gate to find herself disappointed with her enemy already. Already, the person on the other side, the one commanding the shimmering soldiers in white adornments, had taken up the charge. His strategy, at that, mimicked the one she had devised: Queen and Bishops reserved for the sake of defending the castle, and aiding from a distance. The white pawns were at the head of the charge, with the knights and rooks following, no doubt with the acting king of the white castle in tow. No doubt, the leader of that force was in the mindset of keeping their hide protected. Sarah knew that the only way to truly win a battle like this one was to take out the leader. Just like a gang brawl in the heart of a city, if the top dog keeled over, then the only other course of action left for the rest of the gang was to turn tail and retreat, or otherwise lose that fire that kept their spirit for fighting alive.

*“Yes,” she said, looking around at the small force that held out in her fortification: two knights were at the ready, mounted on horseback, riding proudly and powerfully. Two pawns strode at their sides, ready to die for whatever cause there was to die for. Not long after Sarah had arrived, a single rook, a hulking, and imposing figure, stepped forward, casting an obvious shadow over her and the pawns. This was the force that would join her in the battle outside of the castle. "Tact and thought will be better than brute force in this battle," she concluded, throwing assuring glances at her small force. "The question is how to do this properly."*

There was more than one viable strategy for manning a battle such as this, so many variables. He there was also a small amount of time. With her opponent already on the move, she had to orchestrate a basic tactic in the span of just about a minute's time. "That seems proper," she stated after thirty seconds of thought. She looked up to the tower, where the queen stood watching for orders from below. Sarah gave the queen a gesturing signal, one that, after a few tries, got the simple message across: "give me a cover." Bidding that her ground troops remain behind as she manned the field alone, Sarah exited through her castle's gates. Behind her, a thick cloud of conjured mist, enough to hinder vision to anyone within it, began to take form around and within the walls of her fortress. Alone, she would act as the bait for one trap or another.

Cinx kept his eye on every soldier under his opponent's command. he knew losing track of even one piece could result in very bad consequences for his own army.

Damn we both have similar strategies! Cinx thought to himself. alright then I have to watch the front soldiers while at the same time keeping an eye on the bishops and queen to see what kinds of spells they're casting. hmm it's best I hang back for the time being. I can let my forces dwindle my opponents forces thus making the battle easier to keep track of.

Using the power of Gravity Cinx jumped backwards with ease and joined his Queen, Bishops and single Rook. The jump drained very little of Cinx's energy and just by simply standing still for a second he was able to recover that energy. Cinx ordered his troops to halt, He had always found it easier to counterattack rather than have the first assault, that way he could have a preey good idea of his foes strength as well as her plan.

All I have to do is hold out for the perfect time to strike! thought Cinx.

"I am feeling very generous today so I am going to give both side a bonus." Freya raised up both hands and changed the pawn rule, giving each side six more pawns, making a total of eight. "This is so I can see how well you gusy will sacrifice them. Sacrifice can be a good cause; a living sacrifice that is."

Cutting across the open plain that was to be marked as a memorial to the courageous fallen, Sarah fought back the insatiable lust for blood; now was not the time, and the field of battle was no the place for getting relentless and reckless. Her pace was swift and steady, and her eyes held firmly on the group of troops ahead of her. Behind her, courtesy of the Black Queen, the cloud of mist moved forward in expansion with the beckoning waving of her arms. And of course, it went with every intention of her mind to back track to the cover of her castle before she actually meeting them. Even if it looked like she planned on boldly charging their ranks, that would not be the case, if all went well that was.*

But as with all strategies, hers was malleable in accordance to the flow of battle on her enemy's side. Not much further than two hundred feet out from her front gate, she ground to a halt. Across the field of battle, she noted the emergence of a figure from the enemy ranks. A being, not of the style of the troops assigned to the castles, floated idly from the charging troops. She knew right away that he was the leader, and the one she had to defeat to take the win. But first, she knew, she had to remove the underlings protecting that prize gem.*

I'll have to take this battle to them, she thought. She gave another, rapid wave of her arm, hoping it wasn't stressing her queen too much, bidding that the mist be brought out further, and expanded more. The queen, bolstering her reputation with magical casting, complied, and the thick veil grew forward and out. Waiting for this cover to envelop her figure, Sarah moved forward again, slower than that of the mist. The space between her and the attacking force would covered quickly, lest they turn tail to their fortification. Even if they did, the misty veil would giver her the cover she needed to retreat and amass a larger siege force.

Alright, I can have my Pawns distract the other side while I charge around and take them by suprise by the flank. Thought Cinx. He made it so that his Gravitational Pull was very light, that way he could move very far very fast and use up little to none of his energy. He dashed to the side and away from his soldiers. If he was lucky Sarah wouldn't see him through the fog her queen had created. once he was at a good angle he changed directions and charged into the mist.

He tried to make as little noise as possible seeing as he wanted to have the element of surprise on his side. At the center of the mist he saw Sarah, and he prepared his attack. he charged at full speed holding his double edged sword to the side ready to swing at his foe.

    "Take THIS!!!" he yelled.

In her makeshift smokescreen, Sarah stood in complete silence. Yet it wasn’t the sort of silence she could relish the presence of. This silence was something different, more unsettling. As the strategy dictated, she was making no noise that could give away her position to the opposition. However, at the same time, there was no commotion evident coming from the other force. Her initial plan seemed to have failed to achieve it’s desired effect; the enemy troops, the pawns and knights that were ready to strike out, at not come in pursuit of her. Her own misty veil was starting bear an unsettling feeling, a feeling of tension that could only come from facing off against an unknown fate.

She began to retreat back, further into the mist, so that she might make it to the front gates of her castle in time to formulate another ploy with the aid of her army. She set off at a walking pace, and focused on her hearing, bending the inner essence of her being so that her ears would pick up something so soft as the thudding of feet against the ground. At her pace, with light feet, she’d hear another running more clearly then she’d hear herself walking briskly. As it was, the means brought about the ends she desired, and eventually, the sound of dashing footsteps filled her ears from several yards away.

She turned herself around, towards the directions from which she had heard the footsteps. Through the corner of her eye, a shadow of a figure came into being, charging straight at her. As it came clearer into focus, it was clear as day that the person was brandishing a sword. With her assailant about ten feet away from her, she acted smoothly, and without excess. Her move started with a quick sidestep to the side from where the blade would make its cut. This move was coupled with a simultaneous squat to put her below the slashing of the blade. Following through in a fluid motion, she wheeled around in a pivot, away from her opponent to build the momentum, and swept out an extended leg to sweep their legs from under them. In an added effort security, she capped the move with a small exertion of energy, sending a small light-looking blast across the path in front of her opponent’s charge as she came full circle.

Cinx was confident in himself. I'm going to end this no- he thought as he tripped over his opponents leg. his lightened Gravity as well as the speed at which he had been going caused him to fly upwards. then in midair he was hit with a burst of energy sending him back into the ground. As he hit the ground he tasted metal, upon spitting he saw that it was blood. he managed to get up and face his opponent.

"A little less graceful than I would have liked... but still, We're ending this fight now!" he yelled to Sarah. he wheeled his double edged sword over his head dramatically then came down into his fighting stance. "Who needs pawns when we can easily end this with our own two hands...you think you can take me?" he mocked.

With one added rotation, Sarah ground herself to a halt, grinding the foot of her extended leg into the grassy surface. Reeling the leg back in, she planted her foot back onto the ground, and pushed back up onto her feet. She faced her opponent, and in her mind, she came to a feeling of somber satisfaction. Her move had done the trick, or even more than just that. He had been grounded, and had thus, spilled blood. And what was more telling and more useful to Sarah was the fact that he had been reduced to mockery as a form of tact; that was something that she would be all to willing to exploit for herself.

“Well then,” she said to him, replicating the same mocking tone he had spoken with. “I could care less how fast this gets over with. But if you want to finish it, if you think you can end it right here and right now, then let’s see it.” She assumed a semi-crouch stance, prepared for both attack and defense. She gave her foe the slightest of smirks, and poked a final, soft-spoken comment: “Come and get some.”
