Lily rolled her eyes and folded her arms. "Daniel....you don't have to feel alone ever again! We're here for ya now and we always will be! Okay?" She smiled at them both and had a sip of her drink before continuing. "However, we're not gonna be here forever so lets try and make the times we have together something to remember! 'kay?" she picked up her burger and took a small bite out of it,

 

Daniel saw what was happening and looked Ella. "Stay here." He dropped his burger and ran outside. He ran all the way to where Jason was and pushed the people off of him. "Get off of him!" As soon they were off, Daniel looked down at Jason and smiled. "YOu knucklehead." He laughed and brought Jason up to his feet. "Go call the ambulance." "I'll watch your back."

 

Lily's jaw dropped. "What the hell just happened?" she muttered to herself before leaping out of her seat and running outside. She sighed furiously and bonked Jason on the head. "Do you want to get yourself killed? Or shall I do it for ya?" She caught her breathe back and glanced at Daniel who was surveying the area, then at Jason who was spelling out the name of the road they were currently standing on to the ambulance. Lily heard a fainting grunting sound, she looked down at the injured man lying at her feet. "Woah! Hey sir are you okay?" She bent down at studied he's face before looking up at Jason. "He's been badly injured! How long till the ambulance get here Jase?"

 

Daniel looked at him and said "Ok." He then ran into church to gp apologize. As soon as he was in, his chest was in pain. "Gaah!" He held his heart in pain. "What is this pain?" He kept clutching his heart for a few seconds and then it went away. He looked at Jason and said "Now that was weird."

 

Lily followed Daniel and Jason, as they ran inside the church she stood silently at the entrance. Ever scince her mothes funeral she hasn't stepped foot in a church, ever.She looked up at the huge solid oak doors, her headache starting acting up again, she felt her forehead heat up rapidly as she started losing her balance. She leaned on the wall and breathed deeply. "I can't...go in..." she felt a tear run down her cheek. "mom..."

 

Daniel looked at Priest with a quizzical look on his face. "A guardian......Me?" The preist gave him a kind look and said "Yes." "You have good heart and you don't want to see anyone in pain." "Tell me my son, what are you trying to protect?" "......My friends!" The preist gave a shocked look on his face. He thought to himself "This boy." "His heart is powerful but I sense something amiss in his heart." "Sadness." "I wonder why?" After a few moments, the preist put a hand on Daniel's houlder and said "Did your chest just hurt a few seconds ago?" Daniel looked at him and said "Yes."

 

Ella looked curiously at the preist. 'How did he notice that and we didn't?' she thought to herself. She noticed the preist's head turn, he was looking straight at her. He then proceeded to walk towards her, she gulped and stepped back slowly. The preist stopped and placed his hand slowly on her head. " You've suffered a great loss...haven't you? Ever scince you were a little girl, you have always felt alone." She looked up at the preist. "How did...?" "Your eyes...i can see all the pain and suffering you have ever been through...just by looking at your eyes." Ella gasped, her head was heating up again she suddenly had dramatic flashback of her past. The death, the pain, the solitude. She swatted the preists hand away. "You don't know anything about me!" She was crying heavily which blurred her vision. When she stopped, she noticed she was standing in the middle of a graveyard...

 

The preist looked at them and smiled. "It seems that both of them have found each other." "Those two..... they will make a fine couple." He then started chuckling to himself as he watched them. Then he stopped and thought about Daniel. "That boy," "He has a good heart but I wonder..... where will it lead him?" He decided to check on him. He found Daniel looking at the stature of Jesus. Daniel kept staring at it with interest. The priest looked at him and said "I sense...... something wrong."

 

Lily nodded. "Yup, not exactly a pleasent memory but i can't seem to get rid of it....."She looked up at Jason and slowly wiped the tear off his cheek with her finger. "But...life goes on eh?" She said before standing up and wondering over to a small grave in the corner of the cemetary. It looked so familiar to her. She noticed Jason standing beside her once again. "It looks like my mums grave....except" She paused then bent down and slowly ripped off all the ivy growing around the black marble tombstone. "I was the only one that ever visited it....i always cleaned it for her. Its funny, out of all the family she had...i was the only one who ever cared. Not her fault if she was abit of a physco!" She gritted her teeth and starting crying again.

 

Daniel looked at the preist and said "No." "I haven't." The preist gave a concerned look to Daniel. "Are you ok, my son?" Daniel looked at him and said "Yeah." Why do you ask?" The preist walked over to him and said "You been looking at the statue for a long time." "Are you sure nothing is wrong?" Daniel looked at him with a unconfirmed gaze. "I guess I'm alright." "But I feel weird." "Lie even those two are here, I still feel kind of alone." The preist looked at him and put hand on Daniel's shoulder. "My son, take this pass and go to the Sacred Fountain." "It helps calm the heart." Daniel grabbed and said "Thanks." He then headed off to the fountain. The preist then started walking off towards Jason and Ella. He looked at the two and said "Is there something wrong with your young friend?" "He seems...... distant."

 

Lily's eyes were closed but she recognised the voice coming from behind her, it was the priest. She breathed in deeply and looked at him with swollen red eyes. "I'm not sure....we've known him for a long time but we only just met him." She rubbed her eyes and glanced at the fountian, she saw Daniel standing there arms folded staring at the small sculpture standing next to it. She then looked back at the preist he seemed pretty baffeled by Lily's response. He parted his lips to speak but Lily simply walked away. The preist then turned to Jason. "I don't quite understand..."

 

Daniel looked outside of the window they were sitting by. He thought about the fountain that he saw. It was white, probably made of marble and was so beautiful. When he was looking at it, he saw two birds, a cardinal and bluebird pecking on the fountain. At that moment, he fel lonely. He sighed and said to himself "You need find her." He then closed his eyes and didn't say anything else. He kept picturing the sight of the fountain and two birds of different race being together.

 

Lily looked up at Jason. "Yeah, it was...weird. It seemed like he knew everything about us. Either that or he was just trying to freak us out!" She looked down and pulled out her cellphone from her pocket. Her eyes scanned the screen as she read the several messages she chose to ingnore earlier. "Jeez, i never knew they'd worry about me that much!" she quickly texted a small message back to her parents and placed the phone on the table. She looked up and noticed Daniel sitting silently with his eyes closed. "Hey, are you okay Daniel?"..
