    All hail John Williams.

I love how you pointed out the Obi-Wan vs. Vader scene. If you could look up Old Man Fight in the dictionary that scene would be referenced. Gotta love Old Ben's spin attack that took like five seconds for him to complete.

I love the funny puppet version of Yoda. He seems so crazy when Luke first meets him. The CGI version looked fake to me.

My favorite is probably Revenge of the Sith. I used to think Anakin was so awesome, well I still do, but then people brought up how whiny he was which I didn't notice before, and that kind of put a damper on my perspective.

And I agree, we needed more Maul.

Vader totally could have just killed him there, lol.

I mean, I understand why the fight is the way it is- storywise, both men are oldish and Vader's all mechanical and shit. And filmwise, apparently the prop lightsabers were extremely heavy and awkward, and for some reason they didn't have stunt doubles (or so I read somewhere). But honestly, the fight just doesn't hold up well, based purely on the physical. And then the prequels kinda screw it up, because surely, after seeing Obi-Wan again after so many years, Vader should have been mad as all hell and really tried to kick his ass? Instead they were almost polite to each other.

I think he still is awesome, sometimes. Part of that is because he is a younger Darth Vader, and how freakin' cool is that? And in scenes when he's not angsty over Padme or not getting attention from the other Jedi, he's a likeable character. And even when he got on my nerves, I still cared about his story.

Very true, I always found his story so intriging, it really makes me think.

Also, I always thought about how I would have done the EXACT some thing to those sandmen if they did that to my mom, or anyone in my family. I'm really close to my family, so I probably wouldn't have turned out so well either if something so tragic happened to them.

On Obi-Wan's behalf, he's a jedi. Jedi learn to control their emotions. So naturally he wouldn't get all hyped up about fighting Vader. And as for Vader, as the years passed he became more evil. Evil people are supposed to be calm and collected. I doubt Vader would allow his anger to turn into a blind rage, even at Obi-Wan.

    I agree with Desert Warrior.

Ben Kenobi most likely knows the Jedi code.
"A jedi uses The Force for knowledge and defense. Never for attack"

As for Vader. He was no longer the same man he was in Revenge of the Sith. Back then he attacked letting all his rage control him, a sloppy style. By the time of the last three movies he had displayed himself as calm and collected. When he chokes those commanders until they die you don't see him throwing a tantrum.

This was the first ever lightsaber duel that Lucas made. No one knew how to fight with nonexistent weapons while swinging around heavy, odly shaped cylinders. Hey at least they made up for the physical fail with awesome quotes.

I didn't say Obi-Wan should be all hyped up. And I said Vader should seem angrier, not that he should have flown into a blind rage. Eh, maybe I misspoke. But, I dunno, there needed to be something more, for me. Perhaps, I should have said that Revenge of the Sith could have ended in a way that made the calmer reunion make more sense to me. There were other scenes where the prequels kind of messed with the originals (like the scene in RotJ when Leia talks about her mother), and since chronologically in the story, the prequels come first, it makes the originals seem off on later viewings. Someone didn't do the research, I guess.

But regardless, while the scene was still interesting and had some great quotes (I agree with Azula here) and all that, the actual fighting leaves a lot to be desired, for me. It honestly looked like neither one of them were really trying. I never felt any fear for Obi-Wan, or hell, any for Vader, either. Neither one of them seemed badass enough during this particular fight to kill the other. And I dunno, maybe I'm missing the point, and neither one of them were supposed to be trying. But meh, that's my opinion.

Fun Facts about Return of the Jedi.

In the scene where Oola (Jabba the Hutt's green slave dancer) is dropped into the Rancor pit, her top shifts allowing a split second glance of her breasts. I've never actually seen this myself though.

George Lucas had the movie be given the fake name Blue Harvest while they were filming the Tatooine scenes in Arizona. The reason for this was to avoid having fans try to break into the set. The entire crew had shirts and caps made for them that said this fake title.

A fun thing with the fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan on Mustafar is if you play the bonus level on the Revenge of the Sith video game. Normally when you play that level, you play as Obi-Wan. You win, you get the same ending as the movie. But, if you play as Anakin, you get a different, awesome ending. *Spoiler*Anakin manages to flip over Obi-Wan and kill him. Then later it shows him come up to the Emperor. The Emperor congratulates him and gives him a new lightsaber. Anakin tosses it into the air, spins and catches it, and kills the Emperor with it. Making him the ruler of the galaxy.*Spoiler*

Ah,I remember that scene.Kinda funny, and is soemthing a Sith would do.

On the Vader vs. Old Ben fight,I think that, since its been 16 years,Vader has been given alot of time to cool off about it.Whether or not he is still angry at Ben is something Im not sure of,but he might have accepted it by now and is slowing biding his time to kill off Palpatine.Of course,he probably is still angry at Ben,just he is in control of it now.Like some of the others said.

^ Really, that's the least of my problems with the scene. And that's not really A New Hope's fault, so I really shouldn't be picking on it for that. I feel like I'm just hating on it, when really, it was a good scene. Just one boring fight.

Ha, that does sound awesome. XD
