Eh, I'm not a big fan of star wolf. I prefer the speedier lighter characters. Mainly Sonic, Toon Link, Marth, and Captain Falcon.

I'm not insulting Sonic. I'm just saying he's the ultimate clone.

And do you care to make use of your challenge? PM and I'll send you my Brawl code.

What moves of sonic's are particularly cloned? All i can think of is the roll (jigglypuff and yoshi) and the spin punch (dk). Possibly his 1-2-3 hit combo that mario also shares. But if you think about it, roll attacks have been sonic's main for of combat since he was created, so they HAD to include those in his battle style. The spin punch was... idk, i guess they just thought it would look cool. The 1-2-3 combo was techinically mario's but it makes sense that sonic would have it, seeing as how Sonic was CREATED to be mario's "rival".

I also think that Sonic copies Pikachu's Final Smash!

Sonic does copy Pikachu's final smash (and before you say 'but FS were added in for Brawl so he didn't copy it', Sakurai claims to have proof that FS were intended to be in the original Smash Bros. which Pikachu was in), his B-Up move is a faster version of Fox's with no fire, and other than that, all his moves are taken from other characters.

So that's pretty cool?! I guess?!

Yeah, also Sonic turns yellow, just like pikachu! XD Well I think Sonic is the perfect clone!

I don't really like playing with Sonic though -- I'm pretty bad with him. But yay for Sakurai's unoriginality?

Volt Tackle didn't exist in during the time of the origional Super Smash, so its safe to assume that he would have a different smash attack. His up B move is just a jump, just a straight jump. Claiming that as a copy of anything is ridiculous, that would be like saying every character is a clone because they can jump :p. His smash foward is the spin punch = donkey kong. Smash Up is another spin, smash down is another spin. Normal punches and kicks shouldn't count because everyone needs to attack somehow.

Pokemon was released in about 1998. HUGE SUCCESS. Naturally, being the money whores they are, Nintendo got right to work on a sequel. What do you think comes first in a Pokemon game? New pokemon, then new moves. Volt Tackle must have been thought of long before the original SSB came out.

So yeah. Sonic (probably) copied Pikachu.

volt tackle was made later on because they felt the headlining pokemon needed to have something signature that made it unique. Trust me, Im a pokemon nerd, i know these things.

You cant be serious. the mechanics for both Final smashes are completely different. That made absolutly no sence at all. if thats the case why not just add yoshi into the mix huh!

Sonic's is only slightly faster with less control. Pikachu's has a bit more control but is a bit slower.

They're highly related. I never said that they were exactly the same just like Captain Falcon and Ganondorf aren't exactly the same.

    1. Pikachu has NO control, its much easier to control sonic.

    2. The only similarity is that they fly around. Sonic relies on pure collision (to my knowledge) While pikachu can let loose electrical jolts to attack. Diddy Kong and Yoshi also fly around.

I noticed that they made the game crappy. Everyone is floaty, a lot of characters can fly, and the final smashes are actually pretty gay. Some you can dodge, good, some you can't, bad. Also you can get stuck under the stage on Final D. Before you couldn't. Game is not competetive. Just a party one. Lolz.

The only difference imo is that Pikachu is hard to control. Sonic is godly if you use him right (kind of how the level 9 CPU does).

Sonic ftw! And Marth too, maybe.

However, Pikachu's and Sonic's are near identical. They have the same physics engine (though Sonic is sped up A LOT), and when you curve, they move in the same way.

And Zerith. The game was made not as a Melee 2.0. An entirely new physics engine, the characters aren't floaty, whats wrong with a lot being able to fly, you can get stuck under many other stages as well so why should FD be important, I don't care if you couldn't before, and it can be competitive. Just because of Wario Ware, Mario Bros., and unbalanced Final Smashes, it doesn't mean that this game will not be played in tournaments.

Well Pikachu seems a lot harder to control, and he goes a little slow, then really fast, then really slow. It seems to be different when you control it in comparison to Sonic, because Sonic has more of a free-control feel.

Nope. Try curving Sonic around. He slows down when he curves as well.

  20. Well who is your favorite character in the game?
