Tales of Deception ~ Aeval's Awakening

Aelita stared out her bedroom window. How come she didnt remember her parents? She was 7 when the past away and yet she cant even picture their faces. How come her elder sisters remembered them? She knew she couldn't ask them about her parents, but it hurt not knowing.

She got up and opened the door knowing she would have to go down to the graveyard. "I bet everyone is waiting for me," she sighed. She past the many rooms

 

Aelita turned a corner in the hallway. She always had trouble getting round the castle. It wasn't that she didnt know the place, it was that it was SO big and...she couldnt find her way to save her life. Where was Sapphire when she needed her?
"Sapphire?!" Aelita called out. The she thought, "Sapphire wouldn't still be in the castle."

 

Keelen rushed up the stairs with a few of his best men at his side. "Whats going on here!" He demanded as he walked into the hall with the intruder. "Let him up, but be ready to grab him if he tries anything." He turned to the intruder, "If you can't convince me your supposed to be here and you have no ill will to the royalty here i will personally lock you up and through the key out. Now, time for you to talk." His men walked forward and flanked the intruder.

 

Cassandra suddenly became all too aware of the pandamonium around her, inside the castle and out on the square. Why is Sapphire looking for me, she knows I never go with them? She wondered what the time was, how long she had just been lying on her bed staring at the ceiling. She walked out to the hallway, hoping to find out what was going on. The anniversary of the king and queen's death was always a big deal, but all this noise was making it much too difficult for her to concentrate on her studying..

 

Kate walked in the castle checking around. She looked and saw one of the princesses, Princess Cassandra come walking out of her room.

"Hello princess." Kate said with a courtsy to her. She didn't where a dress, so it looked weird, but she did like always to all of the princesses.

"Might I ask what's wrong?" Kate asked Cassandra.

 

Cassandra looked down at the young girl. She remembered having seen her around the castle on various occasions. Of course, as always, she wasn't in the mood for a chat.
'What's going on out here? I can't concentrate on studying with all this wretched noise!'

 

"I really do not know your majesty, I will find out for you. Until then I shall apologise about the noice." Kate said walking yet back down the hall. She stopped at and turned into a room with many weaving machines. Some of the older women of the castle hands came to weave and create clothing and fabric when needed. Kate walked in. She looked at one of the older women and sat down at a weaving machine near her. She began to weave herself. She got half way through her piece of fabric to see yet another princess, Princess Saphire go running by. Kate was confused to why the princess was running. She stood up and walked over to the door.

"Your majesty?" Kate said in almost a whisper and of confusion.

 

Cassandra began walking down the hallway. Like Kate is going to be able to sort this mess out. Suddenly she found herself face to face with Sapphire. Damn, I should have seen that one coming. She thought about turning round again, but she knew Sapphire wouldn't leave her alone now she had seen her. 'So, are you the one to blame for all this commotion, Saph?'

 

'I don't do funerals.'
Cassandra felt her sister's hurt as she said the words, and much as she wanted to she wouldn't let herself take them back. 'I think Aelita's still in her room.' With that she turned her back to Sapphire and began walking back towards her room.

 

Kate left the room and walked up to Princess Saphire.

"Can I be any assitance to you, your majesty?" Kate asked princess Saphire glancing back at Princess Cassandra heading back to her room. She looked back at Princess Saphire.

 

"You sure? I know how important today is to you. Allow me to help you make it perfect." Kate told the princess.

"Maybe I can talk to your sister." Kate suggested.

"I can try to get her to come for a little then when she leaves it would seem more like she's sad." Kate suggested to the princess about her sister.

"Maybe I can arrange the diffrent floral arrangements." Kate suggested another idea.

 

Cassandra cursed herself as a tear rolled down her cheek as she walked through her bedroom door, already aware of what Kate and Sapphire were thinking. She turned back towards the door, contemplating going out again. After a few moments she bolted the door and climbed outt of her window, making her way down the castle, out and away from all fuss. She slipped past the carriage, aware it was waiting to take her and her sisters to the graveyard, and quickly made her way towards the forest, careful not to look back for fear she would change her mind.

 

Kate nodded to the princess. She headed down the hall to go look for Princess Aelita. She would first check her room. She felt bad for princess Saphire. She was told by the elder hands how close she was to her parents and that the anniversery of there death was an important day to her, it was always a sad day yet it can be a good day as well. Kate came to teh castle when Saphire took over so she did not know the original king and queen, she respected princess Saphire though. She soon noticed while deep in her own thoughts for feeling bad about Princess Saphire she passed princess Aelita's room. She turned around and came to Princess Aelita's room. She knocked.

"Princess, may I come in?" Kate called through the door. She waited for a reply before entering.
