Yeah, but there is only one left in the world, and that is appa.
I hope make this into a whole new series, so far the premise looks like it will be really good.
Hopefully though, they have made it more serious.
Thats what kept me in Avatar, is because I started as a kid, and I'm now a teen, and it seemed to mature with me.
I hope that they won't fall back into being only for kids.

At Comic Con a little while back, Bryan and Mike had confirmed that it was only going to be the twelve episode miniseries. I believe they also commented on it in one of the interviews I posted somewhere in this thread. The miniseries is supposed to be very story-driven, there won't be any filler episodes. But I suppose, if the ratings are good enough, Viacom could always order more episodes. Personally, I'd like to see a whole bunch of separate miniseries, focusing on different avatars throughout time.

They have said that Korra would be more mature.

I was an adult when I first started watching Avatar, and while there were the occasional slapsticky, kid humor moments, I think there is far more for an adult to enjoy, like decent character development and an engrossing story. You're never too old for Avatar. XD

Edit: Figured I'd throw this out there, even though it's old news. But anyways, there was a rumor going around that Korra would be getting a name change to The Last Airbender: The Journey of Korra. I'm gonna go ahead and call bullshit on it, because the title doesn't even make sense, as I don't see how "the last airbender" references Avatar Korra at all, and I think Viacom would do better to not draw too many parallels to the movie. Not to mention Avatar: The Legend of Korra is a perfect way to tie in with the other series, since most countries, I believe, use the title Legend of Aang. But eh, in case it is actually true, I'll post it. Source

Did I already mention how awesome an idea it would be if they made an Avatar Chronicles detailing the mythos of the Avatar universe? Well, if I haven't already, I'm saying it now.

@Toph- Interesting enough, the show only started with 13 announced episodes, till it got the fandum it did.
    Maby it will happen again.
It does make me releaved that she will be more serious.
But It would be really nice to not have to worry about fillers, but they never where that terrible with them in my opinion, because it always had at least one thing to continue the story, even if it was small.

@Requiem- That really would be cool, but did you know there was an unaired pilot episode that apparently explains the world so you don't just get dropped into the story.
Don't know why it went unaired.
Can't find a good version on youtube though.

    A little news:

Dante Basco (voice of Zuko), made a post on his blog concerning his recording a voice for Korra.

Wonder who he's playing? Be pretty cool if he were cast as Tenzin.

EDIT: Found this via LastAirbenderFans.com- it appears to be a legitimate line test for Korra. It appeared on the Korean blog of an animator of the series. It's pretty cool (shows Korra kicking some ass)- check it out on YouTube.
