The New Dawn 5: Shadows Awaken

Anselm looked at Voltair strangely.
"I did not learn anything from Raven's memories. It was that idiot, Saki, who used her memories for his own will. I have been alive for all this time, training myself for this day. I sealed myself inside The End of The World, where Nicole stabbed me...but as her being the princess of dawn, she only increased my powers. I now know how to control both..."
He held 2 orbs in his hands, the one in the left was light and the one on the right was dark.
"...light and dark"
He thrusted the orbs onto the ground and vines made from light tangled Voltair up on the ground. The ground beneath Voltair's body turned into spikes with the essence of darkness.

 

"Interesting. And people say that Twilight can't be evil." Voltair said as the vines came up over him. "Let's see how close you can bring the light to my heart. The dark spikes were lifted out of the ground and floated aroudn Voltair. "Surely you can dodge or block this." The spikes shot out at Anslem, traveling at a fast speed.

 

Anselm grinned and lifted his hands, making the spikes fade to dust.
"I am more powerful than everyone you have faced. Definately more powerful than that useless Vanquish. You know what, I have no need for her anymore"
Vanquish appeared from a portal behind Anselm and looked angry.
"HOW DARE YOU!?" she screamed.
Anselm ran up at her and put his hand inside of her. He was taking the darkness away from her. The power surged through Anselm.
"YES, THE POWER!"
Vanquish's eyes blinked and closed, as Anselm let go of her. Vanquish then fainted, and returned back to the form of Emily. She was forever free of Vanquish and the dark witch was gone for good. Anselm killed her.
Suddenly Anselm's legs became furry like a werewolf and horns grew from Anselm's skull. Red lines emerged under his eyes and his voice became much deeper. It was as though there was an echo.
"IT IS NOW TIME TO DIE!!!!"
Orbs of red poison were thrown at Voltair and then he hit the ground with his fist, causing a ripple in the ground. The vines were constricting Voltair more like rattlesnakes did to their prey.

 

Symm sent his scythe out, severing the vines as he ran by and picked up Voltair - and grabbing Emily's unconcious body while he was at it. He had but mere moments to act, and with a hurried pace he reached Siah and pulled up a shield surrounding the three of them in the shaped of a giant petal - similar to the container Sora had slept in in CoM. He broke out into a pant from the excursion and putting the two down, bracing the shield for the worst.

"Siah, You need to get out of here fast." He gasped as he held the shield. "I can make some doubles to look and smell like the three of you distract Brakdern and what'shisname, but you have to get out of here. If Mr.Darkness here can carve a tunnel for you three, then you can escape to a more advantageous place to fight. . . ."

 

Anselm looked at Brakdern's confused eyes.
"Break the shell, destroy it!...Calder is still inside of you. Calder will die after you break it. DO IT!!!"
Anselm dashed towards the shield and a beam of red energy came out of his blade. It extended the length of it to the point of having it longer than double the size of the shield. The blade made contact with the shield and it broke into shards.
"It is useless. You will not be able to escape"

Brakdern looked at the shell, fuming smoke. Calder was angry.
"It's time for you to die"
He grabbed the pendant and thrown it towards the ground but before it touched the surface, Melody was able to catch it.
"NO!"
Melody ran back to Siah, as quickly as possible. She held onto her arm.
"Kiba went by himself to help Calder. I don't know where Kiba is now"
She looked at Brakdern.
"He was in Calder's nightmares. I saw them. I think that's one of my powers, I recieved from my dark side"

 

OOC: I hope you don't mind the powerplay, Hope and DW - if you don't want it, I'd be more than happy to delete this post. This kinda came in a spur of the moment.

Moments before the shield was smashed, Voltair had pulled out a portal and took Siah and Emily into it and closed it behind him. At the same time, Symm made some lifelike doubles that even had the same scent as the other three into existence - and that's when the shield broke. Symm was thrown back, as well as the unconscious clones (Except for the Siah clone, which was barely standing. In moments, the white-haired mercenary was back on his feet, leaning against his scythe.

"Girl, get out of here!" He snarled at Melody, before turning to the two evil beings in front of him. He then shouted, "You will have to kill me if you want to kill them!" Before sending several petal blasts at them.

OOC: I give full permission for Symm's death.

 

Melody ran away.
"I have to find Kiba first. He's in danger!"
The shell in her hand was shining blue, as she sprinted inside the castle. She saw Kiba and a woman with him. They were about to fight.
"KIBA!" she screamed. She wanted to stand next to him and support Kiba but she was stopped by a barrier. She fell to the ground and looked at Kiba, in desperation. Tears slithered down her cheeks.
"Kiba...."

 

>I'm not completely sure, but I think Emily is dead.<

Another portal opened up. Voltair walked out of it. "Now that nobody's in the way, time to let loose." He cracked his neck and looked at Symm. "Two on two. Ready to finally see things to the end?" Voltair's keyblade appeared in his hand. "No holding back. From here on out, there is no turning back. It's now or never."

 

". . . . So much for my brilliant plan. Well, Siah got away, right?" Symm smirked. "I suppose there's no wasting this, then."

The ex-mercenary took out a golden Megalixir and a light came forth, healing Voltair and Symm fully. He hiked his scythe onto his shoulder, twirled it, and went into an attack stance as he judged the situation.

"I take the one that isn't insane, savvy?"


(Vanquish is out of Emily's body - she's unconcious.)

 

"That leaves me with both of them." Voltair smiled. "I don't want all the fun. But let's hurry this up. I still got a few more people to get rid of. Then I can wake Raven up."

 

Anselm grinned.
"We will not be fighting you....well for now"
Anselm held out his keyblade and a stream of energy lead to a portal, reminiscent of the one Organization XIII used.
Suddenly thousands of large bodies surrounded Symm and Voltair.
"Make sure they don't escape"
Brakdern looked at Anselm.
"Master, I must obtain the shell"
"Very well, Brakdern"
Anselm walked through the portal and it disappeared as he went through. Brakdern faded away from view and reappeared behind Melody. He grabbed her neck and started to choke her.
"You are useless. You are waste of skin. You must die"
Melody was struggling under his grip.
"...kiba...."

 

Brakdern let her go. Her eyes were closed and her face was pale but she was only unconscious. She held the shell in her hand. Brakdern took it away from her and glared at Arlene. He heard what she said and saw what she did. She let Kiba go. She could have killed him easily but she didn't. She was trecherous. She was not faithful to the New Dark Order. He looked down at Kiba
"I really want to kill you...but, I must now fix a problem. You are not important to me at this moment"
He pushed Kiba onto the ground and he fell ontop of Melody.

Brakdern walked towards Arlene, with his keyblade.
"Unless, you can convince me, I must kill you for treachery and don't even tell me about that soppy story of yours. I have had enough of those from Calder's memories"
The shell raged in flames but Brakdern only smiled and thrown it at her face, burning her cheek. It fell to the ground.

 

Daisy ran inside the room, where she heard shouting.
"Damn you Symm!"
She saw Siah, looking frustrated.
"Siah dear, are you okay?" she asked.

Harone was in the room too. His babies were in his arms, sleeping. He looked at Siah.
"Siah, I'm so sorry about Calder. I wish there was something I could do..."

The shell was trying to speak to Siah, in some way but she heard nothing. She couldn't hear his cries for help, his apologies, his...feelings...

Brakdern heard Calder's voices.
"Siah, Siah...help me...I love you Siah....I'm sorry for hurting you....I wanted you safe"
Brakdern shook them off and walked further towards Arlene.
"Arlene, you are a traitor and you must face the consequences"
Brakdern thrusted his blade towards Arlene.

 

Brakdern pushed Arlene towards a corner and held her cheek.
"Dear Arlene, I've never noticed how beautiful you are"
He kissed her lips and poison dripped inside her mouth. It trickled inside of her and fluids started to run through her body, burning anything it touched as it went down her spine and indigestion system. Her body would be starting to ache because of the burns scarring her body. Her lips turned purple and her eyes turned red.

Harone looked at Siah with a worried expression.
"Whatever you must do, I will come with you. After all, it is my job to help you still"
Harone looked at his babies, Lucas and Dawn. He kissed their foreheads.
"I'll see you later"
They disappeared into light and reappeared in Nicole's arms.
Harone turned to Siah.
"Let's get going"

Melody had her eyes open faintly. She looked at Kiba and then looked at Brakdern. She stood up wearily and rose her hand.
"I haven't told you everything about me, Kiba"
A pink light shone from where her heart was and lead upto her right shoulder and down to her hand.
The shell, which was in Brakdern's hand brightened as well and appeared in Melody's. She looked at Kiba and smiled. Her energy faded away from her, as she fainted onto the ground, from exhaustion.

 

Calder's voice ran through Kiba's mind.
"Kiba, she deserves to be free. The only thing you can do now is to help her. Teleport her to the castle along with Melody and yourself. You can do this, Kiba. You're the son of Sora"
