The New Dawn 5: Shadows Awaken

While Calder and Siah were "racing", a strange black cloud shaped like a skull formed in the clear skies of Destiny Islands. Nobody else other than Sora noticed the cloud. He stared at it, with worried eyes but then sighed in relief as the cloud diminisched like smoke. Sora squinted his eyes and come to the conclusion that he was just hullucinating. It was hot today and he was...getting old. He looked down at Siah and Calder from his house. He sat on his wooden chair, reminisching. Kairi sat down next to him, with a chair of her own.
"Siah's really grown up, huh?"
A joyous tear, which flickered in the light ran down his cheeks.
"Yes, she has. I'm proud of her. Kiba, too"
Kairi kissed him on the cheek and walked away, back to chopping up a piece of carrot.

 

Calder nodded and leaned on the tree.
"Yeah" he said, with a happy sigh.

Melody shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't know"

Harone hugged Pamela and Connore, happy to see that they were unharmed.
"How's Lucas, guys?"
"He's great" Connore told his step father.

"...hey..Siah..."
He looked at her, with happy eyes.
"..when do you want to tell them, that we're engaged?"

Throughout the next year, Siah and Calder graduated out of high school, Lucas and Dawn turned 1 and are healthy and now....

"Quick, quick, we have to get everything organized!"
Harone, Calder's best man was rushing everyone to make sure everything was perfect for the marriage. Nicole was helping aswell. Melody was waiting in a room with Siah. She was the bridesmaid.

Calder looked at Kiba and rustled his hair. Kiba and Kiba, unusually put his hair back, in a tidy state. Calder and Kiba laughed.
"I look ridiculous" Kiba told Calder.
"Yeah, you do!" Calder exclaimed.

 

Harone knocked on the door. Melody opened it and she looked at him with a smile.
"Everything ready?"
"Yes Melody"
"Good"
Melody took Siah's hand.
"Don't worry"
She took the basket of flowers and ran outside, throwing flowers at the procession. Trumpets were triumphantly making the song of wedding being heard throughout the island. Calder followed Melody, heart pounding. He knew this was one of the best moments in his life. He reached the end of the aisle and it was time for Siah to come in.

 

A woman appeared at the very back row of the chairs. Nobody could say how she got there, or even who she was - a nobody to them. But she was a Somebody. A somebody indeed, but with the ability to move quickly and quietly like the morning fog near the ocean. Now, this ghostlike character watched the procession with curiousity, seeing as the to-be-wed had a connection with her - although only she knew it.

Time went by quickly. Kairi cracked and tears went down her eyes. Calder took Siah's hand.
"Will you, Calder Prone take Siah Hart for your lawful wedded wife?"
"I do"
The priest turned towards Siah. He was dressed in white angellic clothes. He had a pink poapu fruit in his hand. It was a great honour to eat a rare red poapu fruit. It was a sign of love, togetherness and tranquility.
"Will you, Siah Hart take Calder Prone for your lawful wedded husband?"

 

"You are now husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride"
Calder kissed Siah deeply.

Music bursted out from the community hall close to where the procession was. Calder let go of Siah and gave her his hand.
"Finally one dance we can go to!" he exclaimed. They started to run.

A few hours later, everyone on the island were dancing. Everyone were merry and happy for the newly wedded couple.

Melody was dancing with Pamela. They were best friends. Pamela whispered in Melody's ear and Melody giggled, blushing as she looked at Kiba.

Melody smiled.
"Yes Kiba?" she asked happily. Pamela giggled, as to how Kiba was so anxious. She's never seen him like this before. Connore took Pamela away from Kiba and Melody so Kiba would have less of a hard time. Pamela waved at Melody and giggled once more. So did Melody. She turned again to Kiba, waiting for his question.

Calder grinned at Siah and took her hand. They started to dance.
'Let's hope I'm not a klutz this time!"

 

"Then you choose the path of wind. Going anywhere you please and stopping for nothing. . ." The strange white-haired woman softly spoke, appearing next to Raven. "But the wind is not without its dangers. Gales could come at any moment and throw you away. The longer you travel, the harder it is. And for you, I see a long road ahead. But the journey will have a happy ending. As the children's chapter of the book closes, yours must continue on."

As she finished speaking, the stranger's face gained a smile, revealing some of the very fine wrinkles upon her face. "Before you go, here is a question. You don't have to answer it now, but you will eventually. Now, what does a scythe do?" The aging woman moved away from Raven before approaching Sora and passing him, saying one last thing to him before she left. "I give the newlyweds my congratulations. If they ask who it was from, tell them that all winds have their start from a gale."

And with that, the stranger vanished as she walked through the doors of the building, never to be seen by any of them again.

 

Calder and Siah, after the wedding reception, lied on the sand, looking at the starry sky. The familiar sound of the waves hotting the rocks calmed Calder's mind. He grabbed Siah's hand and for one of the first times in their life, they did not have to worry about the darkness, assignments or planning for a school dance. They were finally alone and relaxed. He felt the waves slapping across his feet but suddenly something smooth and solid touched the nails of his toes. He sat up and found a bottle with a message inside of it.
"What's this?"
Calder popped the cork off the bottle and he slipped a paper out of the glass. He dropped it on the sand beside him and read the letter. He noticed an emblem of the King's.

Dear Calder and Siah,
Congratulations on your marriage. I am sorry I haven't been there but I was on a mission. Thankfully, I have found out that the Dark Order have not come back to attack the worlds again. Rumors have been spreading around of a new force but these rumors are false. I hope you have a wonderful night. Oh...I almost forgot!!! I have a job for you Calder. You too Siah. How would you like to be my first royal guard? I will pay you a million munny a year! You will be able to stay in Destiny Islands ofcourse!

Calder almost dropped the letter. He was flabbergasted at the amount of money, Mickey was going to offer them for a year. Calder and Siah now were able to have a stable life. The rumors of a new dark order were false and Calder had nothing to worry about. Neither did Siah.

That was our story. The story of the keybladers from Destiny Islands have been passed on from father to son, generation to generation and world to world. This story represents that good will always prevail...even in the darkest of times. If someone does come out from the dark, the light will never go out. It will always fight on. Trust your friends, believe in yourself and the most important message from our story is to cherish the ones you love.
