The New Dusk

Dusk shrugged "Cant say the thought hasn't crossed my mind." she admitted "As it appears, 'pure' darkness might be needed to accomplish a goal of mine. Although I am curious." she let her arms hang to her sides and walked toward the boy "You look like a nice enough kid. Probably someone with a good future ahead of him, probably having a good upbringing in the light. What would someone like you hope to gain from bringing back the darkness?"

 

Melody was surprised "Oh! You're awake." she said to Jade, feeling a bit embarassed and sheepish for the way they had been acting in front of the girl who was in need of help. "Sorry about everyone's bahavior today. My name is Melody and this is Kiba. How are you feeling?" she asked the girl with genuine concern.

Raven sighed "Look kid, I would love to help you out. First thing in the morning, I am leaving this world first thing in the morning along with Melody and Kiba. We have something important to take care of but if you want, you can come along for the ride with us. Who knows, traveling to other worlds might help you find the answers you are looking for. Although, I am curious. You said you see me in your dreams. May I ask, what happens in those dreams?"

 

Dusk considered Duelo's reasoning and then shrugged "I dont really care much about all this humanity garbage but your reasons seem like enough that you aren't going to go crying on me if things get too tough." she said. "Help me bring back the darkness, and those who are inside it, back to the world we live in and I will lend you my power to aid you." she held out her hand for a handshake "But once the darkness has returned and I have achieved my goals, this alliance ends."

Raven frowned "Those things are more than dreams. They are actual events. Interesting that you can see these things but it does give us some key as to why you are able to use both light and dark magic at the same time the way you do. It could be that destiny is calling you for something greater, maybe your dreams were that you were supposed to find me for some reason, to help us with our goal to stop this thing that is killing worlds... including the other girl you saw in your dream who was crying." she sighd "It seems I have no choice at this moment. I'm more than welcoming you to join us. I am asking you to. It may be the only way you can truly find out what those dreams of yours mean, and with those powers of yours, our target could some day come after you. It would be easier to make sure you are out of her reach if you are with us."

 

Dusk smiled "If you are speaking of Dawn, it will take more than a fraction of Dark Energy to take her down. She's been allowed to drain on the hearts of entire worlds for far too long and this has made her too strong. In order to take her down certain sacrifices will have to be made. We may have to bring the darkness back to the world before we can deal with her, though it may make her more powerful breifly, it's guardian Voltair, will also be brought back to this world and he is one of the ones I will need to finish off Dusk." she explained. "Of course, It would be stupid to do that too soon for the very fact that the two of us alone won't be enough to break the seal and even if we were, I am not in the mood to deal with his temper. See, my objective and yours go hand-in-hand but we have to play our cards right." she paused and while he took her hand to shake it, a black energy ran from her hand to his up his arm into him.

"I told you I would grant you my strength. This power isn't much, but it is more than you are accustomed to so don't do anything stupid." she explained.

Jade, you are to keep an eye on our friends Raven, Melody, and Kiba she said it telepathically. You may not like it now but we are on the same team. soon, you will accept that.

Raven paused "A friend of mine spoke words very similar to this a very long time ago." she said after a moment. "It may sound scary now but, sometimes all you can do is accept the other side of you. It could bring more good than you think." she said before turning back toward the house "Now let's go talk to Kiba. It's about time you kids sorted out your drama so we can get out of here."

 

Sensing a change of subject being in order, Melody looked to Raven "So who is she?" she gestured toward Jade "And what else did you find out?"

Raven shrugged "Why don't you answer that first question for us." she said to Jade, casually walking into the room and sitting cross legged on the floor in front of the couch. Resting her back against it. Habits like this never really left her from when she was a traveler.

Jade shyly looked at the four strangers. "My name is Jade. Adopted princess of Disney Castle and possible only survivor from it's destruction. The king sent me away to help stop the evil that is causing the destruction."

Raven looked surprised as did Melody. "So that's why you were so afraid when I found you?"

Jade nodded "Heartless."

"Well that's not good. Heartless here." Melody said.

Raven nodded "Not at all. It means that if we don't get out of here soon, we'll have bigger problems than the usual nonsense thats been going on." she said.

Dusk shrugged "We have tabs on Raven. And she has no idea what I am planning. We need to start low and build power if we want to stand a chance against Raven or Voltair let alone Dawn. Unfortunately that form of pure power doesn't just come with practice. Others are undeservingly born with it which means it must be 'borrowed.' Our easiest targets for this of course would be the seven pricesses of heart."
