The Official "Talk About KH3D"/"I Beat KH3D" Thread.

Well, I'm completely finished at this point other getting every ability, so I was thinking about doing a write up on the main Secret Boss and how to handle him. Of course its technically a spoiler, so I won't write it up if people don't want to have the secret boss' identity/strategies revealed. Just let me know.

 

Not that I know of. It was most likely added in for the same purpose as the the total play time tracker.

For this fight, you can just use a specialises hit and run strategy; although the fight is difficult no matter what strategy you use.Since most of his attacks are projectiles, it's easy to 'loop' him for a while by abusing short-range attack commands. When he starts to use his short-range combo, dodge roll(dodge slide is useless) away from it, heal and go in and attack again. When he pushes you back, wait until you stop moving, then lock on to him and use Dark Splicer. Rinse and repeat.

So what was your favourite boss, people? Mine was Riku's second to last boss. It kept me on my toes, and the clock part at the end was intense.

I'd LOVE to have a secret boss guide. Please.

 

Mine was the same, the clock part was exciting, and the boss himself was the first time I had trouble picking out the bosses patterns and reacting to them, he was just too fast sometimes.

I'll get to work on writing the guide up for him with both characters, and should have it up tomorrow then. I can do guides for the "secret portal" enemies as well, but since they're just stronger rehashes of earlier bosses the same strategy you used before is applicable in this case as well, just with added caution.

 

Thanks a lot I don't think the secret portal boss guides are necessary though, since they're just repeats of the earlier bosses, as you said.

 

Alright so I finished the game this morning at 23 hours. I'm just gonna say it; Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance is my favorite Kingdom Hearts game thus far. I loved everything about it. Even the drop system was a cool idea to me. It made me not favor one side of the story to the other. Even with the boss fights, It didn't make me annoyed. Flowmotion and Command Decks are the way Kingdom Hearts should be for the rest of it's existence. The story felt important for once. It pushed it forward since the first time since Kingdom hearts 2. It's the first real big information. All the other stories added little bits of information to the world that is Kingdom Hearts, but this changes everything! I can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 3.

 

I beat it already too, I think there should have been more worlds though... But it's my favorite thus far!

Well... guess I don't need to keep any more of this writing then. Sigh. Good work, regardless.

EDIT: I didn't want to just throw out all the work I had put into it, so I put the guide on shorttext so you all can check it out if you're interested. It's a page or two long and is pretty detailed. I'll also be happy to post up my level/stats/abilities and such so you all can see that you don't really need all of the stuff in the guide to win, it's just a recommendation. Let me know if its any good, haha
