The Spirit World

Kiran finished climbing the stairway- he'd walked up it slowly and Shuraito and Zac had passed him. When he reached the top step, there was a bright flash of light that lasted a few moments. When it ended, he reappeared in a warm room.
He pinched himself and felt hardly any pain; this was Heaven. He felt a surge of adrenaline rush through his veins and looked around. Zac was alone in the room with him, he saw.
"Hey, Zac. Sorry I was late. Are we in...Heaven?"

Aeron nodded to Eckart and walked up the stairs. He reached a bare room with a single window and a candle that did nothing to reduce the coldness of the room. This was his new reality, ever since he'd been killed. Clinging onto life and escaping from those damn Exorcists. He sighed and sat down against a wall. Sleep was one of the many things that had been taken from him the day he died, but he could always do the closest thing to it; he'd rest, and he'd see the Exorcists the next day.

 

"/Oh hey," Zac said to the other exorcist, "Yup, we are in heaven,"!Zac sighed. He was greatful to be here in this world, it was so magnificent. To think each house was the size of a mansion? God really loves us. He looked around still in awe, at the sight of this place, it was never going to be old to the young teen's memories or places he has been. He doubted there was a place on earth this amazing.

 

Zac was given the book and he grabbed it, "Thannn...uh did you do a quick change or something?" Zc asked the brother angel, "You look like a desert warrior," he shrugged, "Is there a place I can read this book?" Zac asked the angels.

 

Zac blushed again and nervously chuckled as he went to sit next to the female angel. He opened his book and started to read it, keeping his eyes from the girl angel, fearing he would blush again. As he read the book, he say the types of angels, some he knew and some he didn't. This book was pretty nifty if he were to encounter more angels.

 

Zac raised his hand, waving it side to side, "Yeah sure sure I'm reading right now," Zac said focused on the book. He really dove into the book, becoming interesting in the abilities of the angel. He read the book, it was thick do there was still some ground to cover, but he didn't care, this was an interesting book. "Sereph... Huh....seems interesting..."

 

Kiran scratched the back of his head awkwardly; Zac was reading and Shuraito had left, leaving him alone with the female Angel. He stood in the middle of the room, wondering what to do, when suddenly, his heart sank with a familiar feeling. It was what happened whenever a Rogue Soul was in the area, but it was ten times more severe than that feeling.

But he reminded himself that he was in Heaven; there were no Rogues around. He decided he'd explore the beautiful mansion as Shuraito had said he could, to take his mind off of the feeling. He walked to the staircase, still in awe; was everything in Heaven so amazing? He wandered around the house, feeling poor compared to everyone in Heaven. Then, he remembered the main reason he'd wanted to go to Heaven, which was to finally reunite with his friend Aeron. He'd have to ask Shuraito or Dawn about that later.

Kiran walked back downstairs, feeling at ease at last. Still, though, he felt a very strange presence. "Hey, Zac, Dawn, do you feel that?" he figured he was probably just being paranoid, or confusing the feeling of a Rogue Soul with the feeling of a dead Soul, but he had to check just to be sure.

 

"Dude I just puns out in an exorcist, I don't know how to sense auras like you guys can," Zac said, "Maybe it's just the feeling of being around dead souls," Zac said, now realizing he was still during next to Dawn, and blushed again, hiding in the book.

 

"Wow. Both you and your brother? I'm guessing your dad is one as well?" Zac asked, "And a dead animal soul...wait...I though animals didn't had souls like humans...not dissing them, but animals have no legitimate soul...that can't be right..."

 

"Oh..." Zac said, and took noticed of Shuraito coming in, "Hey Shury who is your dad?" Zac asked the brother angel, "Yor sis said he wasn't an exorcist like you two...what is he?"

 

Zac nodded and followed Shuraito into the room. He closed the door behind him and then turned to the Angel, "Alright spill it, who is your dad and why is he so bad he can't be mentioned?" Zac asked getting stern and skeptical.

 

Eckart, still sitting in the ring of skulls in the first room of the temple, was shocked to feel such an enormous and terrifying aura climbing the stairs. He immediately shot up to a standing position and summoned his scythe in case he would have to fight for his un-life. When he saw the Hooded figure enter the room, Eckart knew immediately who it was, and was humbled, frightened, and surprised all at once. It was the most emotion he had felt in some time.

"L...lord death..." Eckart stuttered. His scythe disappeared. "How may I serve you?"

 

"Yes, I am Eckart," He replied to Death. "This is an abandoned temple that I have been using as a home for some time now. I have decorated it with the bones and writing in blood. Though, it is more than just decoration; the deathly aura and inscriptions bolster our power somewhat," Eckart paused for a moment. "I hope that our presence here doesn't disturb you?" Eckart was trying to be careful with his words. He knew how powerful Death was, and he didn't want to make him angry.
