"The World"

Wraith and Yui started descending down the stairs of the altar. When they got down to the bottom, Yui turned to Wraith and said "Well, its been a great day but I have to log off now." "I guess, I'll see you later, Wraith." She then giggled and ported out of there. When she left, Wraith felt the loneliness entering his heart again. "How come..... I'm always lonely again?" He then sighed and ported away from the World. Kira sighed again and said "Well." "That was fun."

 

Johnny was home and his sister wanted a bit of soup before she would go to sleep. As Johnny was fixing up the soup, he was thinking about the two that were seemingly after him. Zeke wants to face me and Nero seems to follows the orders of the former. So if I can beat Zeke then perhaps Nero will start following my orders? But I probably shouldn't, Zeke is a steam gunner, which is a close range fighter. Or at least, he's closer than my perfect range. He gets right into my weak range and goes wild. A fight with him will not be smart. Instead, I think I'll go and search for those Lost Weapon things. I've just gotta avoid Zeke. The microwave beeped, signaling the soup was hot. Johnny grabbed the bowl and carried it off to his sister. If this takes long enough then maybe they'll have logged off before I get back on.

 

Twin Blade Level 3 3/3 XP

The girl paused and spoke to him again, "Yeah . . . I guess I'll tell you." Reo listened closely to the significance of the poem from the girl and he nodded, holding his chin, pondering it, trying to decipher the poem's meaning but got nothing. "So this poem . . . well ritual, has to do with these skeith guys?"

The girl nodded, "Yes. They're very powerful beings and they have something to do with the game."

"Oh, okay then."

"I have to go now . . . see you around and thanks for helping me feel better." The girl got up from the table and smiled at him and logged out, without saying a word.

 

Kyomi thought about her time with Wratih. "He was really heroic." "Wasn't he?" She giggled and said "And I get to see him tomorrow again." She smiled at the idea of hanging out with her new friend again. "Wraith." "The hero of Yui." She then started laughing again.

Kira layed on his bed in the dark. "This day, it was really hetic." "I mean the World is amazing and I met two people." "They are probably my only friends ever." He then sighed and said "Why?" "Why must I be alone forever in this unkind reality?" He started yawning and said "Oh well." "Can't wait for tomorrow." He then started drifting to sleep As he was drifting, he blurted out quietly "Skeith..... the terror of death.... what is your tale....."

 

Level up! Now level 8!

Johnny was walking up to his room as his sister fell asleep. When he reached the computer, he found his cat sleeping on the keyboard, again. This time though he picked up the cat and gently put it out of his room before closing the door. He grabbed his headset as he sat down and logged on. Once more I become Karite the flick reaper.

As Karite materialized in the root town of Mac Anu, the first thing he did was look around Zeke or Nero. Since he didn't notice them he went and searched through the Chaos Gate locations. He was looking for something that seemed mysterious or legendary, hoping to find where a Lost Weapon could be found. Eventually he settled on a place and entered. He showed up at the entrance to a large cave. With a deep breath, Karite went in with his scythe at the ready.

 

Twin Blade Level 4 0/3 XP

As Reo logged out of the world, he went to the shower, still pondering the true meaning of the poem's text. After he finished taking a shower, he laid down on his bed and slowly closed his eyes, going to sleep. As he dreamed his dream sent him back into the world. He stood in an endless blackness, where there was nobody but himself, wandering in the dark. As he stepped down, the blackness receded and he was standing over the Root Area of Mac Anu. It was covered with flames that turned out to be binary text scattering all over the place. As he turned around, a giant looming figure floated down in front of him. He readied his weapons but was immediately hit with what looked like a giant scythe. The giant figure made a hissing noise and called out to him, "Skeith . . ."

Reo woke up to the sound of his alarm clock and from his dream. He looked over and saw that he woke up at the usual time, 3:33 A.M.

 

Kira was on his bed, sleeping. He was having a powerful dream. There he was, as Wraith. He standing in darkness. Black flames started surrounding him. "What the?!" As he looked around, he saw something sticking in the ground. It was a giant black scythe. "Whats a scythe doing here?" As he said that, the scythe pulled it out of the ground and started floating in the air. Wraith kept looking at it as the scythe was still floating. "How is it hovering it like that?" Then all of a sudden, the scythe started spinning at high speed and its target was him. "Ah!" Wraith wanted to move but he couldn't. He was stuck to the ground. "NO!" Then, the scythe stabbed him. "Gah!" Blood was spilling out of him. Then a voice appeared. "Do you want.... power?" "Do you want the power of loneliness?" Wraith then said "I..... I....." "Then accept it!" Wraith was lit on fire.

"AHHHHHH!" Kira suddenly woke up and looked around. "What was that?"

 

Twin Blade Level 4 1/3 XP

As Reo got into the school bus's seat, he looked out of the window and watched as the cars past by them as he was being driven to school. "Sigh . . . now I remember why I play so many of these bloody games, the real world can be a total drag sometimes. Oh well, at least I get to go to school . . . wow, I sound awkward for saying that."

 

As Karite slashed down an NPC, he continued his charge forward. The foes were small enemies worth little exp. Karite just took care of them on the way because he knew that these small fry add up over time. He was heading to the center of the caves lowest level. The place had weird markings all over the walls so he knew that something important was at his destination. As he headed through, Karite couldn't help but think about what could possibly be at the end.

 

Twin Blade Level 4 2/3 XP

As Reo took notes in his A.P. Spanish class he thought about The World again. He really didn't know that a game could be that amazing. Even though it cost him a lot of money, he didn't care, it sure as hell was worth it. He was jolted out of his state of mind when his teacher called to him. "Mister Butsuchiru, would you please come up to the board and write out the imperfect tenses of every vocabulary word we have learned up till this point in the semester?" As Reo got up from his seat he thought to himself, "This game is so popular that I'm sure almost everyone in this room has it . . . maybe I'll ask someone at soccer practice about it."

 

Adept Rouge Level 3 1/3

"One more." Gerik answered. "Since we're talking about hackers though, have you ever heard of the Netslum? I think that, if it exsists, regular players had been there during the Third Network Crisis." Gerik saw another treasure chest. "And I believe there is our last Symbol Fragment." There were more Vak Fangs guarding the chest. They didn't see Gerik or Salvatore this time. "Suprise attack." Gerik said again, rushing at his target.

 

Admin Adept Rogue lvl 4 (2/3 xp)

"Netslums?" he repeated. His fist slammed down on another enemy and sent it's body into the air as it reverberated off the ground. "Kooooou~!" he shouted as his left fist hooked around and delt more damage. "No I haven't - Heal! - I haven't heard of it." The Vak Fang third Vak Fang pounced and drove it's teeth into Salvatore's skin. He muttered a curse as the graphics for blood began 'pouring' from his wounds. "What's it supposed to be?"

 

Adept Rouge Level 3 2/3

"I hear it is supposed to be a hacker's paradise." Gerik answered as he slashed one of the Vak Fangs off of Salvatore. "There was a Netslum in the R:1 version of 'The World'. It was created by a hacker that went by the name of Helba. As for this new Netslum, the only rumor I've heard about it that it is on top of a gigantic turtle." Gerik attacked the final Vak Fang until it died. He kicked open the treasure chest, getting the final Symbol Fragment. It turned into a Judge Symbol. The entrance to the Beast Temple opened.

 

Admin - Nero: Level 9. 1/3 Exp . and Zeke: Level 8. 1/3 Exp

Lightblue eyes watched Karite from the shadows as he walked down the dark road. As he slashed down another enemy, the eyes widened. When Karite took a short moment to catch his breath, the eyes dissapeared. A small sound could be heard.
"Freeze.." a voice said cruelly as a platinum gunblade was put against Karite's head. The person was hidden in the shadows, but an evil smile could be seen upon his face.

 

Karite had finished off a few monsters and was running to the gate that lead to the fourth level. However he was stopped a mere fifteen feet from it by a weapon touching his neck.

"Freeze.."

Karite did, but not because he ws told to. But rather bcause he couldn't figure out two things: how come Karite couldn't notice him, and how did he manage to get through the first couple floors so quickly. As Karite wondered these things he had to ask. "How?"

 

Admin - Nero: Level 9. 2/3 Exp . and Zeke: Level 8. 2/3 Exp

"How? It's easy!" the voice said while he started to walk around Karite. "I traced you, that's how! And i.. got some help from an old friend." The voice said and Zeke showed himself.
Nero stepped out of the shadows as well. "Hey, dude." he said relaxed. As he saw Karite being kinda shocked he spoke smiling: ".. He said please. But there's no escaping this time." he continued as summoned his lance in his hand. Nero charged his lance with hellish flames again while his hood blew off due to the streams of hot air.
He jumped to power his attack even more and with a swift stroke, he pulled up to earth into a big dome, unable of escape. "Sorry man, he's got a job to do." he said to Karite.
"Now where were we?" Zeke said grinning evily and readied his gunblade as Nero leaned against the far wall of ground.

 

Kira quickly ate breakfast and also took a quick shower. He then got ready for school. He was now waiting for the bus at the bustop. "Man." "I can't wait for school to be over." "I want to get back on The World again." As he said that, he remembered the dream he had last night. "Black flames.......and scythe?" "What does all of this mean?" He then saw the bus coming and quickly shrugged his head. "It was just a dream." "Thats all." But he stil couldn't forget about it. "What was that about?"

 

Level up! Now level 9!

Karite sighed as the fire dome went up. He wa hoping to avoid fighting another player, at leadt until he had gained more levels. But as it was that seemed impossible. Before turning to even face Zeke, he walked over an with his scythe, cut the dome. Howevr the fire fixed itself back up intsantly. Karite put a hand near it but pulled back before he lost a hit point. He could tell that the dome would only come down when it's owner wanted it to or if some high level attack could break the entire thing, something he was currently incapable of. He did a quick check of his status and used a potion to restore his health before turning to finally face Zeke. "Fine. I'll fight you."

 

ADEPT ROUGE LVL 4(2/3)

Ken was no longer Ken, he Was Zan, the Apdet rouge. He had been trying to level up and get as many items and money as possible. He had gotten close to a 100 in money, and had became a level four. So he was walking back into a city thinking he might be able to get a new sword. As he walked into a shop he saw a balde tht was half blue and red, something he had never seen. He asked how much it was and found out it was 500. "Please dont sell it, i'll be back beforethe endof the day.

 

Admin - Nero: Level 10! . and Zeke: Level 9!

"Ha, great! Finally not running away anymore, huh? I was afraid you'd delete your character in fear." Zeke said and started walking around Karite. "Be ready. Nero, please don't interrupt."
Nero looked up with a puzzled face and pulled the headphones off his head. "Hmm? Sorry?"
"Nevermind.." Zeke sighed and loaded his gun.
